I have wagered on countless of rounds of twenty-one. I began working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of money at blackjack. The gambling dens have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or beat the house, however you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is centered on the idea that blackjack appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very quick. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Wynn a couple of years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this tactic! And a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can squander a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 table.

Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar wager
Bet five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the first $10 bet
Wager $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of $20
Wager 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager
Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first $80 bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
