I have enjoyed countless of hands of twenty-one. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have gambled on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of money at chemin de fer. The gambling dens have made it nearly impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this tactic or defeat the casino, however you will have an abundance of fun. This method is founded on the fact that blackjack seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Wynn a number of years ago with $750 after 20 mins using this technique! And a couple of weeks ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can give up a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Bet 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar wager
Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $20 bet
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Wager $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first $80 bet
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you left at this instance you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is iffy to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and lower your bet or the final result will not be the same.
