I have played countless of rounds of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and wager on a regular basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I lose I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely exciting sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years back with $750 after 30 mins using this method! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You have to comprehend that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 table.

Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager

Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It’s difficult to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can’t alter and lower your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
